What prompted this message is what I witnessed at the track some time back.

A flagger got seriously injured by getting run over. He needed some financial help so an auction was organized to raise money. People where buying stuff way above actual value just to help him out. People giving to help someone that got hurt, that's awesome. It's nice the way people come together when someone is in need. That's how it should be.

Once again it was proven that there are a lot of good people at MX tracks. A lot of these people are hard to minister to because they are good people and they know they are good people.

But are they good enough to make it to heaven?

That depends on what you compare good against. Are they good in comparison to God?

I am not here to condemn, I am here just to point out. Please look at yourself and do an evaluation. How good are you?

Lets see what the Bible says.

RO 3:23 …..for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Wow, that is a strong statement. Do you think you have sinned? Just think about it, have you ever stolen anything, or maybe lied, possibly cheated?

If ever so small , I think we have all done one of the above. So know what?

What is the end result of that?

RO 6:23 For the wages of sin is death….

That isn't right is it? Good people are going to die? What does that mean? The Bible talks about death in two ways. One is our natural death, which we all will face. The second is spiritual death, which means separation from God forever. That is what it is talking about here. It is talking about our Soul.

Then what's the point? If this is right a lot of good people won't get to go to heaven.

Thank God, there is a way out. See God doesn't want good people to not go to heaven either. He came up with a sacrifice that could cover our sins and make it possible for us to make it to heaven and spent eternity with him.

Watching that flagger get hurt reminds us of how fragile life really is. We could be here today, gone tomorrow. So what is following is extremely important.

Here is what the Bible says:

Rom 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile--the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

So in other words, Jesus paid the price that we couldn't pay.

This is all well and good, but first you have to realize that you are not good enough. Are you good enough? Because if you don't know this why would you think you need a savior?

If you come to the conclusion you are not, then you need to do what the Bible says above.

Don't just say you believe it and then go back to your old life, believe it in your heart and live it, that is how it becomes a reality.

That is how you get eternal life.

I know most people don't want to hear this, but If I don't tell you the truth, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. Everybody should get a chance to make this decision. It is your choice.

Now if you are saved, do you have friends that are not? Who is going to tell them? Will they some day say: Why didn't anyone tell me?

We need to make sure everyone has a chance to be saved.
