You hear a lot about Hell. But what is it really and does the Bible say it actually exists? There are many people that think it does not. Lets find out.

Here are some passages out of the Bible:

MT 13:41-42 The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. 42 They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

MT 25:41 "Then he will say to those on his left, `Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

MT 25:46 "Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

REV 20:10-15 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. 11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

2PE 2:4-9 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, n putting them into gloomy dungeons n to be held for judgment; 5 if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others; 6 if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; 7 and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of lawless men 8 (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)- 9 if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment.

After reading these passages, do you believe there is a Hell, or do you think there is not? Here is the way I understand it:
When we die, we either go to heaven or hell. Jesus told the thieve on the cross: "Today you will be with me in Paradise". This tells us that when a believer dies he immediately is with the Lord.

How about a non-believer:
If you remember what you read earlier in 2Peter 2:4, it said that the Angels that sinned where put in gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment. In 2Peter 2:9 it says the unrighteous will be held for judgment. The non-believers will be held for judgment like the Angels that sinned. Then after the judgment they will be thrown into the eternal lake of fire.

I do not believe that anybody that really thinks about it, would want to end up there. There is a way to make sure that you do not end up there.
